S.T.A.R. is a student-led organization and movement within San Jose State University dedicated to advocating for students struggling with mental health and drug abuse through awareness campaigns, peer support, and collaboration with other organizations. S.T.A.R. strives to break the stigma around addiction and wishes to provide safe spaces for affected students. We aim for greater institutional support. We believe that campus culture is where no student has to face their struggles alone.
At STAR, we’re here to support your journey to wellness. Whether you're facing challenges with mental health, substance use, or simply navigating the ups and downs of student life, you're not alone. This space is created by students, for students — offering tools, resources, and real talk to help you take action, find support, and build resilience. Explore guided meditations, therapy referrals, harm reduction tools, peer support, and more — all in one place.
Thank you for your time and honesty in our survey
